Will someone, please, explain to me why the man in my life gets his nose out of joint because I don't jump at the suggestion we ride up to camp for the day!!! Coming home from church this morning he says what's on my agenda for today, nothing really.  Well lets ride up to camp, NO!! I have nothing ready to bring for your meals, and we all know how important it is for you to eat when it's convenient for you.. Ride for 2 hours only to spend a few hours there and turn around and come home.  I spent most of the day Saturday indoors because you had a clown thing.  Why not spend the weekend at camp.  Starting soon I'm going to go on the weekends with or without him.. At least Kevin spends time there.. Then there was last night, went to the Winery for a hamburger, had my glass of wind (a white wine slushy) so good sitting in the cool and he says lets sit outside.  OK I assume there is shade from the sun and maybe a breeze, not happening.  The sun on my back, he's in the shade bugs all over my burger, and I ask why we are sitting outside.  He gets pissed!!! You could have said you wanted to stay indoors, and I would have if I had known it would be this hot!!!! He is now asleep on the couch.  Will think of someplace to go this afternoon. I said I would  pack up and go to camp if he wanted to skip rehab tomorrow, that wouldn't do. Not like he hasn't missed before.  I give up!!!  Now I know why people get divorced after being married for so long. Tired of the BS!!! I'm not getting a divorce he can't get off that easy!!! Besides I know he won't move and I'm not moving again!!  Next weekend will be busy, and I'm looking forward to it. I may just go to camp tomorrow alone. I don't have anything going on till Wed. when I watch the girls. That will just piss him off some more!!! 

Stupid Husband!!!

I wish someone would explain to me why just because I don't want to cook a meal for 6 people, one of which is a gourmet cook, my husband if upset with me.  He went to England a few years ago and had a great meal now this couple is here in the states and he wants to have them here.  I had the guy for dinner the last time he was here, but now his girl friend is with him.  I really don't feel comfortable cooking for her, she is the gourmet.  His computer is down, and we can't find anyone to repair it, or get the info off it so we can buy a new one.  Honestly every time we have anyone over he jumps around like he is so busy and so helpful, when in fact he just gets in the way.  We all know he can't boil water, so the meal is all on me.  Guess I'm just getting old and grumpy!!! Besides he wants them to come on Wed. and I have an appt. for laser treatment on my face. Exactly when am I supposed to cook and get to the Dr. Unfortunately murder is still illegal in PA.  I keep saying we should go out to dinner, she can cook her own meals,  

Well, here I sit in beautiful Siesta Key, Fl. I'm presently indoors as it is cloudy and a little chilly outside.  I believe it is 72 and breezy.  Went shopping this morning and spent a small fortune, 3 pairs of capris, 2 tops, a bathing suit and a  pair of sandals. Brightly colored clothes at the Bealls store here in FL.  Only can shop there once a year when we come south.  So far the co-habiting with the Koedels has gone fairly well. I'm sure we have gotten on each other nerves but is hasn't been to bad.  They are not beach people, only want to stay for a short time.  Parking is unreal, meaning there is none,  rode around for almost 20 minutes one day and then got lucky, followed a couple leaving.  Next day we just walked to the beach, it just 1/2 mile, but neither one of them can walk that far.  They stayed at the condo, I think Carol thought this place was closer to the beach then it is.  For us it's OK.  I think I have gained a bit of weight, as the pants are getting a little tight.  They really like the goodies, and when they are around I will eat. 
Went to the Ringling museum, yesterday.  Could have spent another day there, so much to see.  The house was so beautiful, definitely a house of the very wealthy, and the most beautiful view of the Saraosta bay.  Only 6 days left and will heading back to the cold.  All good things come to an end, how blessed we are to be able to do these things.  Must be time for a nap, everyone is sleeping, guess I will  too.   

volunteering!!

Well, the lunch for Daughters is in the frig at the Shrine.  Tables are set, with candy for anyone who may show up, it is always such a crap shoot.  Never know how many members are going to show up, so never know how much food to prepare.  Called Glesson and she doesn't what to go out in the cold, so that saves me a trip to Vandergrift tomorrow morning.  May take a ride after the meeting if there is a lot of leftovers, she always takes some home so I think we can share. 


I think I have most of the stuff together we need to take to Florida, one would think there weren't any stores there.  Just easier to find things in a store you are used to.  After the meeting tomorrow , I can start packing.  Still need to get a card for Zoe's birthday, been to Walmart twice you would think om  would remember to pick one up,  wasn't on the list.. Guess I need another list.


Now I have to get clothes together, will try to remember shorts and sandals this year.  Going to Universal park, to ride the Hogwarts express.  Emma wants lots of stuff from Gryffindor. 


Will be glad when tomorrow is over!!  I know Minna would tell me to stop wishing my life away!!! Miss her!! 


And to end I think I will stop Volunteering for stuff!!!

Pap's Baking

I had to go to the store for ingredients for Red Velvet Cupcakes, couldn't go with a mix had to go with Ina Garten's recipe.  Apron on, new measuring spoons and off we go. More later!!! 

Should only have to do things once

Having to send emails 3 or 4 times is just wrong. One would assume that the  person asking you to do them a favor would give you the correct address first time.  Then he got pissy because he had to call these wineries again.  Then I asked what time we had to be there and he says where, we are presently consumed by this Wine Festival where else would we be going ???  Since this is all we talked about today and we discussed the meeting tonight, What the hell else would I be asking about.  We are leaving in two weeks for 6 weeks with only 2 wineys committed this doesn't look good.  I wonder when he will learn to keep his ideas to himself.  No food vendors set up, no music, no singer .  Let the fun begin.     

Someone needs to explain to me why when a husband volunteers to do something the wife gets to do all the stuff he says he can't. (ie type emails to the wineries) I have to type each one to a different one.   Then on top of that I now think I have gout in my foot, it is feeling much better after I started taking massive doses of Advil. Due for another dose here  pretty soon, if it comes back I guess I'll go to the doctor.   Washer calling, I'm ready to go to Florida, leaving in 2 and 1/2 weeks. 

Up early, to go to the gym, and here I sit.  Snow flakes and every thing gets canceled, except for Session.  Would rather that a beating then sit though this meeting.  The reading of the resignation letter of Princess Badora.  At least her bad smell will be gone, it never ceases to amaze me that grown people don't bath, and brush their teeth.  How does a person tell another person to take a bath, and wash her clothes.  Not sure I could do it. Off to shower, maybe if I start now I can get there on time.

Christmas Over

All Christmas  put away, wonder why we house all this stuff for 11 months and only use it for 3 to 4 weeks.  Then there is all the  prep, cookies(still eating) food, mostly gone, the presents some people didn't want. I'm always glad when I get the requests for presents.  I wonder if Martina will ever use her sewing machine, and does she play with her dog?  Maybe I need to go there more often.  Noticed the  posting of her feeding the new baby, wonder what Sandy thinks about that.  Must call Angela, and find out what to get Captain Cranky Pants for his birthday.  Only have 2 weeks, maybe we will just take him out to dinner. Not sure what he wants.


Had a really unpleasant job yesterday, getting an officer in the Nile to sign a letter of resignation, which I'm not sure she would have done without the insisting of the past queens.  I guess the last 2 sessions she came to meeting smelling so badly no one wanted to be around her. Since I have no sense of smell, I have to go by what these 10 women are telling me. I have to guess that may be the reason I got to go get the signature.  Not sure what the future holds for our Temple, time will tell.  What's for dinner???   Pizza, only not the best meal for the diabetic.  I need a nap.
